COVID-19 Updates

The priorities for Morale, Welfare and Recreation on Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi are to protect personnel and support the mission.  With the current spread of COVID-19, NAS Corpus Christi is currently in Health Condition (HPCON) CHARLIE MINUS.

Library & Resource Center Closed - (Please DO NOT return checked out items to the book drop.  Please keep checked out items until the Library reopens.)

Lighthouse Lanes Bowling Center Closed


RV Parks

RV Park will remain open to those currently residing in the park.  No new arrivals or reservations until further notice.

The Community Recreation Office/RV Park Office will be closed; however the Community Recreation Office /RV park Office will still be answering phones for our RV Park Patrons and payments for RV Space can be taken over the phone by calling 361-961-1293.


Fitness Center & E-Street Gym

The Fitness Express and E-Street Gym are closed to ALL patrons effectively immediately due to precautions for the COVID-19.

All group exercise classes are suspended

Intramural sports are suspended

Racquetball courts are closed


Child & Youth Programs

Currently in CYP Contingency Operating Level 2

Effective immediately NAS Corpus Christi CYP will only be serving children of parents that have children enrolled in our CYP Program and are  in one of the categories listed below:

  • Single/Dual Active Duty
  • Single/Dual DoD Civilians
  • Active Duty/DoD Civilian with a working spouse who cannot execute mission essential duties via telework or cannot self-care for own children

For parents employed anywhere other than on base a letter of validation from your employer will be required to determine eligibility for care. The letter shall include:

  • Employer Name
  • Employee Name
  • Days and times of duty

Child Development Centers will operate normal hours. - Monday - Friday 5:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Youth Activities Center will operate as a full-day program - Monday - Friday 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Hourly care is suspended

Youth Sports, Youth Teeen Programs and field trips suspended

Fees waived/space saved for parents who elect to voluntary temporary withdrawl their child for at least two weeks or until May 1, 2020
