Serving as the primary point of contact between the military installation, the local school administration, parents, and the community at large.

  • The NAS Corpus Christi School Liaison will serve military families by providing the following services:
  • Supporting families with inbound/outbound school transfers
  • Providing information on local schools and boundaries
  • Assisting with school choice
  • Helping families understand the special education process
  • Providing information about graduation requirements
  • Making military and community agency referrals
  • Supporting families with the home schooling process
  • Assisting with post-secondary preparation

Naval Air Station Corpus Christi has 11 public schools districts within their area of responsibility   Education is a top priority in the Corpus Christi Region. In addition to public schools, charter schools and private schools are available.   The Texas Education Agency is the state agency that oversees primary and secondary public education in the state of Texas. It helps deliver education to more than 5 million students. The mission of the Texas Education Agency is to provide leadership, guidance and resources to help schools meet the educational needs of all students and prepare them for success in the global economy.  The Texas public school system is divided into 20 educational service center areas.   NASCC is located in the Educational Service Center Area 2.  These eleven (11) school districts have a total of 113 public schools in Nueces County, Texas, serving 65,694 students.   Minority enrollment is 80% (majority Hispanic) and the student/teacher ratio is 16:1.   There are 30 private schools in Nueces County, TX, serving 4,126 students.  Minority enrollment is 61% of the student body, and the student/teacher ratio is 11:1. 87% of schools are religiously affiliated.

There are no public/charter/private schools located on NASCC premises.

Partners in Education (PIE)
